Call For Designer Contest Entries & Merchandising Giveaway Winner Announced
Concord, NH (May 2015) Company C, the New Hampshire based makers of hand crafted, colorful home accessories, textiles and furnishings is happy to announce that this year’s High Point Market was a definitive success. In addition to the rave reviews for the 2015 fall collection, much of the excitement among attendees was due to the initiatives launched during market for interior design and wholesale partners.
“We were thrilled to see so much excitement around the new collection at High Point,” said colorful living officer Christine Chapin. “Just as encouraging was the momentum around the launch of our series of initiatives for designer and wholesale partners that drove a double digit sales increase and doubled the number of new accounts opened during the show despite a decline in traffic,” added Chapin.
One of the programs that generated the most buzz in the showroom was the Designer Challenge – a new rug design contest for interior designers. The contest invites the designers to submit an original rug design that will be judged by a panel of prominent journalists, bloggers and the Company C owners. Orli Ben-Dor, Market Editor, Hearst Design Group (Elle Decor, House Beautiful, and Veranda); Tori Mellot, Senior Design & Market Editor, Traditional Home; and Sue De Chiara, Founder and Editor of the Zhush blog, will review submissions and select the winner. The winning design will be added to the upcoming season’s introductions and will also be shown at the Fall market in October. In addition, the winning entrant will receive a custom-made rug in their own original design. Participants must submit their design by May 15th, and the winner will be announced on June 1st. The company is thrilled to announce the winner of their merchandising giveaway – Urban Cottage of Duck, North Carolina. The winning partner will receive a season’s worth of visual merchandising displays to prominently feature the Company C collection in store. Frequent updates will be shared across the company’s social media accounts throughout the installation process.
