Over a year ago, NOA Living filed for bankruptcy under Chapter 11. Leland Little Auctions and Iron House Auction Company are acting as agents for the Bankruptcy Trustee. According to Leland Little Auctions there will be over 2500 lots of furniture, rugs, and decorative objects, which have a retail valuation of over $7 million. The auction will take place at the Hilton North Raleigh/Midtown, and previews will be available. Over 1,000 lots are rugs and textiles; there are 512 room sized rugs.
Rug Industry News plans to report on the realized prices of selected rug lots as an indicator of what hand knotted rugs bring at a forced auction.
