On May 14, 2016 nearly 400 people from the design community (designers and manufacturers) gathered at the Museum of Modern Art for the first NYCxDESIGN Awards presented by Interior Design and ICFF. The event celebrates outstanding talents across major areas of design such as architecture, interiors, furnishings, lighting, and technology.
109 design firms based in NYC and over 200 manufacturers from 20+ countries entered projects and products in the 30+ categories of the competition.
The products and projects have been judged by a panel of distinguished luminaries and thought leaders across design disciplines (to name a few : Interior Design magazine, MoMa & Cooper Hewitt, Smithsonian Design Museums; Gensler, Icarve, Studio Libeskind, the Rockwell Group, Rottet Studio….).
Winners were announced live by host Cindy Allen, Editor in Chief of Interior Design during the ceremony streamed on Facebook Live and on InteriorDesign.net.
OBERFLEX has been selected within the 4 finalists in the Building Product category for its TECTONIQUE 5.5 ceilling collection.
