A collection like this is an insight into the passionate mind of traditionalists.  Twenty two of of 33 rugs being offered in the Fairfield Auctions online  starting November 15, 2017 are cited as “Provenance K. S. Baliozian, formerly of Madison Avenue, New York.”

The group of rugs looks like it was a personal collection, all of

which had meaning to the collector, but not necessarily commercial value. The appeal of 18th, 19th and early 20th century rugs is limited, but a collection like this is an insight into the passionate mind of traditionalists.
